Wedding photos from your guests: how to get all of them
Before the wedding: a gallery in ten minutes
Create the gallery, pick a theme that matches your invitation and set up albums to follow the day — getting ready, ceremony, dinner, party. Guests install nothing and sign up for nothing: a QR code and the browser on their phone is enough. The ready-made PDF cards in the gallery colours can be printed at home or at a print shop.
The evening before: invite the wedding party
Send the link to the witnesses, bridesmaids and family the evening before. Getting ready, the drive and the nervous minutes before the ceremony are often the best shots of the day — and the photographer misses them because he is with the other half of the couple.
During the day: when and where to mention the QR code
A card on every table works better than one at the entrance — guests scan between courses, when the phone is in their hand anyway. One sentence from the host or the best man at the first toast multiplies the number of photos. If you show the slideshow, guests see their photo on the screen within seconds, which is the best motivation to upload another.
The photographer and the guests complement each other
The photographer handles the ceremony, portraits and details with light guests do not have. Guests capture what he cannot: the parents’ reactions, the midnight dance, the kids’ corner, the scene behind the bar. Agree with him when phones stay quiet (during the vows, for example). From the Mid plan you can add his photos to the same gallery, so everything lives in one place.
After the wedding: the second wave of photos
Most photos arrive during dinner; the second wave comes after the wedding — from breakfast, the send-off and the photos guests dig out of their own camera roll. Two days after the wedding we remind guests whose e-mail we know (RSVP, invitation, contact collection); you can also write a “thank you” with the link yourself. Originals stay stored for 12 months (24 on the Large plan) and you can download them all at once as a ZIP from the Small plan up. Make your own backup of the photos you care about.
Privacy and guests who would rather not be photographed
The gallery cannot be found through search, can be password-protected and the data sits on servers in the EU. If you switch on approval, photos appear on the wall and in the slideshow only after you confirm them. Tell guests before the wedding that photos are shared and respect those who prefer not to be — an unwanted or inappropriate photo can be removed from the gallery at any time.

Everything brides and grooms need to know
How easily can we connect the TV or projector in the room?
Very easily. Just open your live slideshow link on any laptop connected to the TV or projector over HDMI, or via Apple TV / Chromecast. Full-screen mode rotates incoming photos smoothly in real time, with no need to refresh the page.
What if the signal or Wi-Fi is weak in the room or out in a field?
Pixelka has a built-in offline buffer. If a guest takes a shot where there is no signal, the web app holds the photo and sends it automatically as soon as the phone reconnects to mobile data or Wi-Fi at the bar or hotel. No photo is lost.
Can we remove unsuitable photos before they reach the screen?
Yes. You get an admin mode on your phone where one tap hides any photo. There is also a “moderated mode”, where only the shots approved in advance by the best man or bridesmaid appear on the screen.
How do we get the photos onto a computer in full quality?
At any point during or after the wedding you can download the complete ZIP archive in one click. The photos stay exactly as the guests’ sensors captured them — full 4K resolution and original timestamps included.
Do grandma or the guests have to install anything?
Nothing at all. No App Store, no Google Play, no passwords or sign-up details. A guest just points their phone camera at the card on the table, taps the link that pops up and picks photos from their gallery.
