Security and GDPR
Where your guests' photos are and who sees them
Event photos are personal data of people who trusted you. These are the rules Pixelka follows with them — no marketing talk.

Where the data is
🇪🇺 Server in the European Union
Photos, videos and voice messages are stored on a server in Germany, the database in Slovakia. Nothing is transferred outside the EU.
⚖️ Slovak law
Operated by VitaCore s. r. o., Bratislava. The contract, terms and any dispute are governed by the law of the Slovak Republic and the GDPR.
🔐 Encrypted backups
A daily off-site backup, AES-256 encrypted. The key is not stored with the storage provider. Availability is monitored from an independent location.
Who sees the photos
- Guests with the link — the gallery is not publicly searchable (noindex) and the address cannot be guessed. The host can password-protect it or switch it so guests only send photos and only the host sees the wall.
- The host — through a private admin link: moderates, deletes, downloads, decides who sees what, sees statistics without IP addresses.
- Us — the operator has technical access to the server; we don't enter galleries, use, sell or train any models on the photos.
- Nobody else — no ad networks, no third-party cookies, no tracking. The only external service is optional face recognition (AWS, Frankfurt region), and only if the host turns it on; the guest's selfie is not stored during the search.
When photos are deleted
- Every plan keeps photos for 12 or 24 months after the event. 30 and 7 days before the end the host gets an e-mail — they can download everything in full quality or extend the retention. After the end, photos, videos and voice messages are permanently deleted from the server; the gallery link remains but is empty.
- The host can delete any photo at any time — it disappears from the wall, the slideshow and the disk instantly.
- Guests can delete their own photo within 24 hours of uploading, directly on the wall from the same device. Later they write to the host or to us.
Consent and corporate events
- For corporate events the host can turn on consent before upload — before sending a photo the guest ticks a text the company sets (e.g. use for internal and marketing purposes). The time of consent is stored with every photo.
- Approval mode: a photo reaches the wall and the screen only after a moderator approves it. Guest downloads can be turned off.
- Lead capture (name, e-mail) is off until the host turns it on; guests see what they give their contact for.
